Annual Report 2017
All segments made a positive contribution to earnings; excellent project development business and the very good performance by Business Units Buildings and Infrastructure stood out in particular. Implenia also reported outstanding growth in free cash flow.
CEO and CFO in conversation
CEO Anton Affentranger and CFO Beat Fellmann sit down together to take stock and talk about their expectations for 2018 and beyond.
The segment reported record results for the third year in a row. This outcome reflects the quality of the project pipeline, which also ensures future business for the segment.
Business Unit Buildings performed particularly well and exceeded its EBIT margin target for the year as a whole; but structural challenges remain in Swiss regional business.
The broad-based income trend vindicates the internationalisation strategy adopted for Infrastructure. Various large-scale projects in the segment gained momentum in the second-half of the year.
The segment reported good results overall. After deducting all costs, the newly integrated Hochbau Deutschland is already producing a positive performance.
